Shared-building solar allocation scenario
Compare an entered static solar allocation with each unit's demand for the same settlement interval.
Your inputs
Start with the example values, then replace them with your own. For tables, keep the vertical bar separators and use a dot for decimals.
Illustrative inputs are not certified current rates or an entitlement decision. Confirm the country, year, eligibility and contract. This limited model is not a tax return, payroll service or financial/legal advice. Do not act on it without verifying the applicable rules.
Tool inputs are processed in your browser and are not submitted by this tool. Existing site analytics and advertising services have their own privacy terms.

How it works
Allocate generation by shares totaling 100%, consume up to each unit's demand, and show grid shortfall and unused allocation. This does not redistribute unused shares. Annual totals cannot model simultaneous self-consumption accurately; legal metering, supplier obligations and taxes are outside the model.
Worked example
These sample results use the original example inputs in the form. They do not change when you edit your inputs; your own result appears in the workspace.
- Unconsumed allocated energy: 50
| Unit | Allocated kWh | Used local kWh | Grid kWh | Unused allocation kWh | Modeled energy bill |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Home A | 500 | 450 | 0 | 50 | 90 |
| Home B | 300 | 300 | 0 | 0 | 60 |
| Home C | 200 | 200 | 50 | 0 | 57.5 |
Read the result carefully
Results depend on the values and assumptions shown above. Change one input at a time to see its effect. A blank or unavailable result means the data does not support a calculation; it is not zero.
