UAE full-time basic gratuity scenario
Estimate the standard basic gratuity pattern for an eligible full-time foreign private-sector worker under the federal framework.
Your inputs
Start with the example values, then replace them with your own. For tables, keep the vertical bar separators and use a dot for decimals.
Illustrative inputs are not certified current rates or an entitlement decision. Confirm the country, year, eligibility and contract. This limited model is not a tax return, payroll service or financial/legal advice. Do not act on it without verifying the applicable rules.
Tool inputs are processed in your browser and are not submitted by this tool. Existing site analytics and advertising services have their own privacy terms.

How it works
For at least one eligible year, accrue 21 basic-wage days per year for the first five years and 30 thereafter; use monthly basic salary / 30 and cap at two years of basic salary. Eligibility, alternative savings schemes, excluded sectors, part-time rules and contractual enhancements are not assessed.
Worked example
These sample results use the original example inputs in the form. They do not change when you edit your inputs; your own result appears in the workspace.
- Accrued basic-wage days: 150
- Uncapped gratuity AED: 50000
- After two-year basic-wage cap AED: 50000
Read the result carefully
Results depend on the values and assumptions shown above. Change one input at a time to see its effect. A blank or unavailable result means the data does not support a calculation; it is not zero.
